Easter Egg Rolling! In our family, we have a tradition on Easter Sunday! We partake in “egg-rolling” with the children after lunch. “Egg-rolling” is a competition to see whose hard-boiled eggs can roll the longest distance down a hill before the egg completely breaks.
For us, we boil the eggs the day before and decorate them so that they are ready for Easter Sunday. On the day, we go to the nearby hill. Given that we currently live in the Netherlands, this raises two challenges: first, finding any hill in the Netherlands is challenging and secondly, people give you weird looks.😀
No matter what — we have a lot of fun.😀
“Egg-rolling” is a tradition I grew up with and liked. There was no doubt in my mind I wanted to pass this on to our children even if we didn’t live in Denmark. The last few years, we have done it with some friends. This year, unfortunately, I think we will do it alone because of Coronavirus. Hopefully, the weather will be sunny and warm.🌞
