These Lemon & Licorice Balls have lemon and liquorice flavours that work excellently together. The balls are perfect for a snack or if you are craving something sweet.

My inspiration for the balls

I got the idea for the Lemon and Liquorice Balls from my recipe from Havregryngskugler (cacao balls). I wanted to try to make them more fresh and sour. They are acidic, but not too much if you ask me. I got Emilie and Sebastian to taste them too. They could eat them, but they preferred less sourness next time. I will decrease the amount of lemon, and the Lemon and Liquorice Balls would be a great idea for their snack boxes in school.

Everyone likes different things, and I think that’s good, as otherwise, it would be pretty dull. As you may know, I prefer something less sweet, so I enjoyed them very much, and they didn’t last long! Do you think it sounds lovely, but you don’t have time to make them now? Tips

On Fridays, I often struggle with Emilie and Sebastian’s snack boxes. They need to bring two snacks to school because they have a club right after they finish, and lemon And Licorice Balls would be a great option to give them.

Last but not least, the Lemon And Liquorice Balls need to be stored in the fridge and can last up to 3-5 days, but that never happens in our house. I wonder why?

Lemon & Licorice Balls (Gluten-Free & Low FODMAP)

ingredienser

40g Coconut oil

100g Oatmeal GF

12 tsp Liqucidice powder

10g Shredded coconut

10g Coconut sugar

1 tsp Lemon zest

Juice from 1/2 lemon (until the mixture is firm)

Instruktioner

Mix everything in a bowl until well combined.

Form 15 balls, roll them with liquorice powder or coconut flakes, or leave them plain.

Place the oatmeal balls covered in the fridge before serving.

To serve, place the Lemon and Liquorice Oat Balls in a bowl and enjoy with a nice cup of tea & coffee or as a snack in the afternoon. Take them out of the fridge 30 minutes before serving them.
